Progress at Last!

I am pleased to report that a major corner has been turned—the house has been set on its piers!  It feels like the first time in so long that we’ve actually made progress and moved forward instead of backward. It’s an amazing feeling!

So the house is locked in place on its piers and we are ready to move on to phase two—which is pouring the concrete foundation.  After the foundation is set, our Design Development team can start building the walls and staircase. Unfortunately, until the staircase is in place, we will be stuck in a standstill yet again—as we need to be able to get workers up and down the stairs to continue the job.  But all in all, we are in a positive place, and I am starting to see light at the end of the proverbial tunnel. Hallelujah!
