Keep on Moving, Don't Stop!

Things are really moving full steam ahead now! 

We were at the house this past weekend and I’m very pleased to report that the stone foundation on the south and west side of the house has been completed! Because the house was built in 1900 and is one of the last original Connecticut beach cottages, we felt that having a classic stonewall would preserve the authenticity of the property.  Of course, masonry work is always a budget buster, but we felt this was a necessary expense.  And we couldn’t be more pleased with the results!

What’s up next? Well, Jeffrey Thomas, our Design Development project manager, tells us that this week the cement will be poured for the garage and then our team will start building the steps.  Once the staircase is completed, and we are able to get inside the house, then the real renovation fun begins!
