Gratitude

Last week I had a meeting with our project manager Jeff Thomas to go over the details of our ever changing lighting plan, and something occurred to me in a flash: We are so lucky to be surrounded by such natural beauty! It’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day plans and details of our renovation, but it’s so important to take the time to remember to be grateful for our actual surroundings. Sometimes it feels like we are actually on a boat – that’s how stunning the view is!

The Connecticut shore is really the best kept secret in the tri-state area. It’s not as popular as The Hamptons, which has it’s own set of benefits, and because it’s on the Long Island Sound, not on the coast, it’s a bit more protected from inclement weather than the Jersey Shore. I couldn’t be happier that we chose the Connecticut shore as the locale for our beach home.  But shhhhhh don’t tell anyone, let’s keep it our secret!
