Moving In!

I never thought the day would come, but we’re finally beginning the move-in process at our beach cottage. We’ve successfully gotten the first few pieces of furniture out of storage and moved them into the house, and the feeling is nothing short of immensely gratifying!

Most of the furnishings for the house have been in storage for many years now, so it’s a bit like saying hello to old friends as we go through the process of moving them in. The coolest part has been finding things I actually forgot we had! The flipside, however, is that occasionally one of the items doesn’t work out the way I had envisioned it, but this is par for the course. So far, most things have worked out beautifully, and the bonus is each successful piece of furniture from storage is one more item we don’t have to buy new. Cha-ching!
