How To Create Storage

Written by Jaqui Lividini

This week I want to talk about storage—and more specifically—baskets. I am largely in favor of baskets as a primary storage tool, but John disagrees. In fact, believe it or not, we have an ongoing debate about baskets of all things!

I am obsessed with baskets. They keep the many small things of life organized, they keep messiness at bay, and they are also pleasing to the eye. John thinks they take up too much space, that the baskets themselves limit the shelf space, and that we forget what items are even in the baskets once they are put away on shelves. They are designed for transporting, not storing.

The bottom line, however, is that I always win this argument, because I have convinced him that baskets have more redeeming qualities than detrimental ones. But the conversation always seems to come back eventually.

What are your thoughts on baskets? Are you pro-basket?
